ADAM BOULTON v ALISTAIR CAMPBELL

ADAM BOULTON:
... there is one party that lost both in terms of share of the vote and seats, that is Labour. There is one party that is behind the Conservatives and on top of that we have now got a Prime Minister who wants to stay on for four months but is saying he is going to resign in four months time. Now none of that, with all due respect Alastair Campbell, can be seen as a vote of confidence by the voters in the Labour party.

watching this it was quite embarrassing and was cringeworthy for Boulton - he got exposed for trying to be impartial and started stuttering and losing the plot.

he should have none better than thinking he could have turned Campbell over.

This is the first time I have managed to see this interview.
What everyone needs to get their heads round is the simple fact that the results are in, and they are as they are.
The !!!!!! part of democracy is that you don't always win the vote.
So if you are left with a !!!!!! deal on the table, guess what, you make the best deal you can out of it.

My view on the interview is that Slimeball Campbell kept his cool, and Boulton's behaviour was atrocious.
Perhaps he has had a rocket up his @rse from Murdoch because Sky failed to get the Tories elected, which they weren't.

what a shambles. boulton is a shocker.

love the way he says one clear party lost and then says it's labour. labour and the conservatives both got more votes than the lib dems and yet it looks like the lib dems will be the deciding voters.

I've just watched it and think that Campbell is being an idiot.
As a spin master he knows that if a conservative MP said that Major was the worst PM in history then the Labour machine would have put that at the top of their agenda.
