Seetickets say I have to pick up at venue

I ordered tickets to see Rihanna in Sheffield this Thursday from Seetickets months ago. I have just received an email saying they won't be delivering and to pick up at the venue using the credit card used when ordering. They are a birthday present for my sister in Sheffield and I'm in London. I can't get to Sheffield, and I can't post it to my sister to take in as I need it for work. So what do I do?
Really poor service by Seetickets. I have heard that they send tickets out late but to not even bother and just say pick up at venue with your card and waste time queing is not on. And what about when the cardholder can't be there. They take a lot for postage fees as well and then to not send out is not good. I had rung them 2 days in a row asking about when they would be posted and told it was imminent. I'm tempted to get a refund but don't know my rights. If they insist on the cardholder being there that's £100 down the drain. I can't ring them now as at work so hoping for some guidance.

Why don't you try and give them a call during your break and see if anything could be done? If you explain your circumstances, and explain it was a gift for your sister, she may be able to collect it at the box office with her ID, and maybe let her quote the card info when collecting? it may be an idea to email your confirmation to her so she has a copy she can print out and take along with her? With prior arrangement via See they might let her pick it up at the Arena box office?
They should reimburse postage costs automatically but no harm in asking what their procedures are under the circumstances.
Give it a go. Hindsight is a wonderful thing...

I've picked up tickets loads of times so I wouldn't worry about the time queueing etc as it's usually really quick
Usually you can just pick it up with the confirmation email +/- a confirmation from you that she is authorised to collect them. It'll be fine, don't worry. Give them a call, explain and I'm sure it'll be straight forward. In fact, I don't think I've ever been asked for the card either, usually just name or reference number
Oh, and while on the phone tell them about the postage fees and they should reimburse that too- they always have done for me.0 -
I got some for my son, just got the email confirmation printed off and let him take that with him. No problem.0

They usually don't send them out, but still charge you postage fee!
Avoid buying from them!0 -
Agree, Avoid at all costs. I have had tickets arrive the day after the gig, wrote them a letter and didn't even get a reply to apologies. Unfortunately I have ordered from them since for the Muse gig, I ordered last year when they went on sale and still waiting for them, is this acceptable?
They need to be investigated as they hold onto tickets for events even though they have been supplied by the promoters and they seem to send out things as and when they please or should I say sometimes send them out. They even take the postage costs even though they send them for Box Office Collection, is this also acceptable?
Maybe they should change their name to MaybeSeetickets or SometimesSeetickets!!!
