please help really need some good advice

Hi

i am contracted to work 8 hours a week (saturday job at airport) but since finishing college i have been working anything up to 32 hours a week for the last year or so (i get paid weekly) ... i will be made redundant in June after 3 years...can anyone tell me what my redundancy entitlement will be?

Redundancy is generally:

0.5 weeks pay for each full year where your age was under 22
1 weeks pay for each full year where your age was 22 or over, but under 41
1.5 weeks pay for each full year where your age was 41 or above

If you do flexible hours, your payment is usually calculated by looking at your last 12 weeks of work and taking an average. So if you've been doing an average of 30 hours a week in the last 12 weeks, your redundancy would be calculated on that basis.

You'd also be paid for any holiday time outstanding.
