Hi, im wondering if anyone can help me here.
Recently ive been having problems with my laptop, the laptop itself will say the internet is connected but when im on the internet and go to a new page or refresh a page it will come up saying connection was refused, this happens about twice a day now and the only way to get back online is to restart my laptop.
It happens on both firefox and internet explorer and they are both up to date.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Heya!
Are you using a wireless connection? When your laptop says its connected it means connection is established with your router. Doesn't necessarily mean there is internet connectivity beyond that.
I would suggest connecting your laptop up to your router via a ethernet cable and see if this issue still exists. If the issue goes away when cabled then the problem is your laptop is dropping the wifi connection. If the problem still exists when cabled then it maybe your ISP having issues with their service.
If you're already using a cabled connection then it maybe an issue with your laptop network card.
We can investigate further once we know which bit of the setup is not working
Also are you using Norton Firewall/AntiVirus??0 -
Sounds like a possible firewall issue if the connection was refused, try to disable it and any antivirus software you have temp to see if thats the problem. Here today, hospital tomorrow0
