Perhaps the relocation also accounts for the website problem - i.e. it doesn't seem to be working. I must admit when I did get through the staff were fine. As I said in my last posting why you just can not book seats all on one site I don't know - most airlines, including this type of flight do this now days.
I think that Thomas Cooks biggest problem is that each entity (flythomascook.com/ thomascookairlines / thomas cook branches all operate independently from each other...0 -

Hi there thanks for posting these contact details for thomas cook.
I am currently having problems with their website. I have already booked my selected seats online, paid and receved email confirmation ages ago. Tried to login tonight to add some flight extras and cant login - it comes up with a message in red type saying"booking has an open purchase" = what the hell does this mean and why can i not view my flight extras - never had any probs before. Getting thru to thomas cook number to ask for help is like getting thru to the pope!! anyone else had this error message???:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:0 -
It wont get any better when you actually get on your flight. We went to Mexico with TC last year and didnt think much of their cabin staff at all.0

What a stupid statement, i don't like the woman in our local Halifax, but it doesn't mean all Halifax staff are the same. When you think of some of the rude, obnoxious, drunk customers the airline staff have to deal with its not surprising some of the cabin crew aren't happy n smiling all the time.0 -

Me and my girlfriend had a weeks holiday in Zante in 2009, and outgoing flight from Manchester there was a young lady who appeared to be drunk from the night before, falling all over the place, not steady on her feet at all, she had red eye, constantly to and from the toilet, stank of booze. O yes, and this was on a Thomas Cook airline. Nice to see she was very professional with the company shes representing. :T Just wanted to say its not only the passengers who get on board drunk.0 -
I'm off to Cuba with Thomas Cook tomorrow, i hope everything goes to plan, i didn't check in online or choose my seats because it pains may to pay them for the privilege, I always get to the airport early so i'm hoping that i'll get a window seat if i'm one of the first to check in. Also hoping that there'll be a possibility of upgrading to the premium cabin, i wasn't too bothered with it when i booked my holiday but i get really claustrophobic on flights and hopefully the extra room in premium might make it a little better. I not bothered if i have to pay for the upgrade.
I travelled with Thomas Cook back in December (i booked with the Co-op who managed to sell me the same holiday for about £50 less than the price Thomas Cook quoted me and it was a Thomas Cook holiday!!) apart from the plane being really cramped it wasn't too bad, although i did feel the hotel i was in was a bit 'Butlins' with the reps doing a weekly cabaret show. It was probably ten years before that when i last went on a TC holiday and can't remember it being as tacky. I'm hoping it was a one off and Cuba will be different.0 -
Can I recommend that you pay for an extra leg room seat instead of premium. You can get the space of premium as your near the door so theres no row of seats in front of you but without the price of premium.New York ♥..........These street will make you feel brand new, Big lights will inspire you.
No place in the world that can compare ♥ 2nd October 2010 ♥0 -

Yes, sitting here due to go to Tenerife tomorrow, thought I'd log on and check over the details and get the same message "Booking has an open purchase." And it won't let me log on, very frustrating !
Any idea what this means ?0 -
I'm still on holiday in Tunisia (well not sure you'd call it holiday).
They have told us we are evacuating but the message came in the middle of the night to some holiday makers with Thomas Cook but not all. We were told to be ready to leave by 7.
At 12 O clock we are no nearer knowing whether we are going, when, what day but have been told that we must stay in reception.
THere is no trouble in the resort at all, nor has there been.
No communication and now the rep has left the hotel and not told us when he is coming back.
Quite appauling.
Really would not book or recommend to go with Thomas Cook again - their inability to communicate or organise clearly is causing considerable stress amongst the holiday makers at the hotel in Kantaoui.0
