Bookworm - good luck with your operation, I totally understand what you are saying about existing and not living. it breaks my heart to see my daughter in pain all the time and not really having a life.

The amount it costs to get laptops repaired is stupid - I had one that broke and PC World wanted £120 just to look at it, which would be wasted if they couldn't fix it.

well one things for certain i would never take anything to pc world to be fixed, actually i tell everyone i get into a conversation about computers to stay away from they at all costs!

thing is i know whats wrong with it (well 95% sure i know what it is) which is the hard drive having died this in itself is a pain in the bum as the laptop is that old getting a new hard drive for it costs a load as it needs a old type of interface which they have not really been making... so i have posted on one of my techy site forums to see if someone has got a 'spare' one i can have (of course i owuld pay postage) otherwise i am going to be looking at installing my operating system on a USB drive which will be fun...
    Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)

Crikey SRM, do you do enough? And why isn't DH helping? Lazy man!

Have just upped two payments to debts, they'll be gone by next summer! Maybe earlier, but you never know :)
Have just put lunch on - rest of the chicken in tomato sauce, bit of sweetcorn (OK, half a tin, I LOVE the stuff) and a half portion of rice....should keep me full, maybe until dinner!
