    Hi All,

I'm not dizzy or stressed. House cleaning/sorting is going well. I'm going to clean the fridge later - if I don't come back then it really has been 'ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES'. (or the mutating broccoli!)

This afternoon I go and see the surgeon about my eye op on Friday. I'm feeling a little bit  but managing to project a sense of ;). I'm not sure how to phrase the question about the ban on vigorous exercise and what that is defined as (New man on scene) !!!

    B

What sort of op are you having done - hope it all goes as smoothly as poss! As for the other stuff, well they always said it'd make you go blind... :o

Luc that would be fabby to catch up with you and Nathan, what dates are you down?

Train down on 10th July and back up on 24th July. Week days would be best if possible (so I get to see my Dad over the weekend);)

Butti - am sure you can get away with some heavy petting and maybe some oingy boingy if you take it carefully

Thanks Elfen, Think I'll be doing everything carefully :) and possibly everything with sunglasses on (Just call me Bono)

Red - It's laser eye surgery for short sightedness. Left eye on Friday then right about 5 weeks later. Thought I might as well get it done while I'm not working.

Theoretically (only a theory!) I can drive after the first eye is done so if there's road carnage in the North East in the next couple of weeks you know who's to blame. Actually just draw a 20 mile exclusion zone around the North East and stay out. You can't save them - might as well save yourself.

morning all, well i can agree with stressy, damned laptop died last night and would appear that its the hard drive so something i cant fix :( if i want to get it working again i need to spend money on it which i dont have gggggrrrrrrr so going to have a very grumpy teenage girl in the house now because it means we are going to have to kick her of the internet more now when we want to use it instead of one of us just going on the laptop oh well need another cuppa

The amount it costs to get laptops repaired is stupid - I had one that broke and PC World wanted £120 just to look at it, which would be wasted if they couldn't fix it.

Hello everyone else. Well done on clearing the card Beanie x

Have booked summer hols - 2 weeks in July down at Mum's. Was thinking might pop on the train to see some of the more southern DFWs (BB, Sal?) for a day or 2? Including cost of railcard was just under £130 for all of us:D

Well done on the card Beanie!

I'm going to be in Bristol on July 17th, I was thinking of staying for a day or two, maybe going to Bath, don't know if that's a date anyone else can do for a mini meet?

Well, I've just taken an extra chill pill, I'm determined to make it to pool today.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

Bit early to say - very complicated. Met him in Brussels in March where he was incredibly interested then very disinterested.
A couple of weeks ago I went up to do some work on a friend's brewery, work the local beer festival and see if I could work him out.
He lives in Scotland. I live in Teesside.
He has a cat. I'm allergic to cats.
    He thought I had a boyfriend. I don't have a boyfriend.

I like him, rather a lot. I think it's mutual.

    Okay? Is that enough?

Well done Beanie and Pooky. Can't see me clearing anything in the near future if al all!
I feel like a sitting duck waiting for the ineveitable. All my family are progressively getting d&v and there's only me left now!
  • Hi everyone, windy and chilly here today......brrrrrrrr

So, it looks like I'm not alone in waiting to go into hospital and facing the prospect of surgery....... I'm anxious to go in, get it over and done with and just get home and settle down, but I also know I'm in for a lengthy stay, a tough painful time, the possibility of at least one operation if not three. I also know I've been so lucky in finding a specialist who not only is willing to try to help me, but who also treats me with respect and has put his "team" on my case but oh dear God, I am so completely exhausted, drained physically, mentally and emotionally, scared stiff because I also know that the risks to me of an anaesthetic are very high and there is always the chance I won't make it (try not to think about that but it's always lurking in my mind). Oh well, fingers crossed in 6-8 weeks I shall be going in and must hang on to all the positives! The life I have now is unbearable and is just a damned existence, not a life.....the prospects I have will be worth whatever I have to go through to get there.....just need to keep remembering that!

I also want to get through all this and get home and settled in order to set the wheels in motion which will give us the debt free life we need.....yet another prospective positive :)

Hope all goes ok for you Butti - I wish you well.
