HD TV Media Player Problem

Options
Can anyone help with the problem I have trying to stream from my home PC, running Windows XP, service pack 2 to my Hisense 1080p HD TV Media Player. I have a LAN network over the electricity sockets (Solwise Homeplug)

On the media player I can select USB or Network
When I select Network I see my home PC computer name.
But when I try to access the PC to see the shared folders I get prompted with a login Id & Password.
Each time it fails with "Login Failure".

I have used every ID on my PC all are administrator ids but to no success.
Even created an admin id & password of media but still no good.

Does anyone have any ideas please its driving me mad, wanted to stop transfering films onto a USB stick and watch them directly from the PC:(

Thanks for you help
