    Yes they do

there may be a paperless option (can't recall but I think they send reminders about it occasionally) but they definitely send paper ones. And if there are no transactions they may not bother (they don't with the CC)

Sorry, I know they do send out paper statements through the post, I just wondered when they do, i.e. what date of the month?

    Sorry missed the 'when'.....

Well mine is around the 15th and my son's is the last day of the month so there isn't a standard date. Whether you are randomly assigned a date or can express a preference I can't recall. Maybe it's on the day of the month the account was opened.

    Thanks! That's great

Nationwide have the option to go paperless but if you go overdrawn and are charged ANY interest even two pence for example then they will send you a paper statement, they do not offer the facility to view your charges on line. This basically means you can only go paperless if you are constantly in credit.

If you are thinking of opening a Felxaccount then be warned that the world's largest building society cannot even do a weekly standing order, and the in branch service is only a photo finish ahead of the dreaded Santander. The website is good but the full statements are a day behind. Basically the Flexaccount is good for free/cheap overseas withdrawals but that is just about all it is good for. All the best.

The statement is issued on the same day of the month that your account was originally opened.

If you need an interim statement, you can request one at any Nationwide ATM. It is under the "Statement Request" option on the main screen.

I've used Nationwide in a variety of different ways and have always had excellent service by internet, telephone (have never had to wait more than a few minutes for the phone to be answered) and in branch. Perhaps I'm just lucky ;)

The only reason I stopped using them is when they stopped paying interest. Thats when I moved.
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂

    Hi,

Yeah, is on same date as account was opened.

I will have opened mine two months next week. Time to give them a call and discuss why on earth they have yet to credit my account with £75, me thinks...!
