eBay - adding postage options after an auction has started

Good morning!
I listed a few items on eBay over the weekend, all with UK posting options and no international posting. However, I've had a couple of queries from people outside the UK.
I've added international posting options for two of the items, but a third has had a bid already, and when I try to add postage options, it pops up a box, which includes "Show International Postage Options" with a tick next to it. When I click Save, I still see the same "No International Postage" entry on the auction.
Is there any way for me to add international postage at this point, or am I unable to revise it because someone's already put a bid in? Do I need to cancel and re-list instead?
Thanks for any help!

You cannot change postage options once someone has bid, as they are bidding for the terms that are there. Is one of your bidders international ?Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

I've had someone from Finland interested in bidding.
I'm after adding international postage, rather than revising the UK options, so it's not really changing the terms for the existing bidder; but if it's not possible, I'll just cancel it and start again....

I wouldn't do that, you already have a bid. Either add it to the description or let the European bidder know what the extra would be. It will not be much more unless it's a heavy item.0

Lesson learned- think about it beforehand next time! (we all do it once in a while, so chalk it down to experience).Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

I should probably also have added - I've got the "No bids from countries I don't post to" option set up, too, which means it's blocking him from bidding, and since I can't set up an international mailing option....
However, I've figured out that I can remove that from the bidding preferences, which means he should be able to bid; the only issue now should be that the postage on the invoice won't come through automatically, I think?

If you and the buyer agree you can alter the postage on the invoice and add a note something along lines of 'postage altered to cover postage to X country, as agreed' ? Would others do that ?I should probably also have added - I've got the "No bids from countries I don't post to" option set up, too, which means it's blocking him from bidding, and since I can't set up an international mailing option....
