I'm another one here who would say to go for a private caravan ,we have been to skegness 3 yrs running ,We all love it .
My son is gutted because we are going to Ibiza this year .
there is also an Iceland for cheapy Ice creams as well across the road from morrisons .
Try and look at ebay for caravans we have never paid more than £200 for a week in the summer hols as you can usually grab a cancellation if you are flexable with the days .
Ingomells market is huge it takes hours to walk round ,Skegness as well has some great shops that all go of into side streets .
There are loads of takeaways and pubs to eat at .
Hope you have a good time I am a bit gutted myself that we arent going this year

I have been to Skegness twice and both times I requsted a top floor apartment. My children are 4 and 7 and you will have 2 sets of stairs to go up as the apartment will be on the 3rd floor. I would prefer this as noone above us.

I found the customer service at Skegness fantastic when I called them before I last went. They said there would be no problem in getting top floor as most people want bottom floor. The last time I also requested a location and again this wasnt a problem. You can call them on the morning you go and they can tell you over the phone your apartment number. I found this really helpful as we could find the apartment and park right near to it and then go off for a swim until check in.

Last time we stayed in gold with premier dining which is breakfast and dinner. The restaurant was fantastic and was better than a 4 star hotel for meals we had recently been to. It really depends what you want from a holiday. You cant fault it for the kids.
