"And so to this week’s very special competition, which is UNDOUBTEDLY the VERY BEST prize we’ve ever given away. The Formula 1 British Grand Prix will be at Silverstone on 11th July – and you could be there with a mate thanks to an amazing VIP package. You’ll arrive by helicopter in the morning so you can see the brand new circuit in all its glory, then receive VIP hospitality, a tour of the paddock, and backstage passes to the after-party where all the drivers hang out, and even get to watch the World Cup final on the big screen.

There’s more – we’re also giving you the chance of a Supercar Experience at Thruxton, where you’ll get to drive a Lamborghini, Ferrari Scuderia, AND a BMW M3.

There’s more – we’re also giving away a 40” LCD TV, an X Box and the ‘Superstars V8 Next Challenge’ driving game, plus our favourite 5 car games, AND a Garmin sat nav, and a PURE Highway in-car DAB Radio, AND a Supertooth Buddy hands free kit".

For your chance to win just answer the following question… Which of the following is a former F1 World Champion?
    A. Damon Hill :j
    B. Benny Hill
    C. Harry Hill

To enter text A, B or C to 85559 Texts cost £1.50 + 1 message at standard network rate. To decline marketing texts end SMS with NO INFO.

I was going to quote someone but wasn't sure which valid argument to choose. I do understand all your points but I would just like to mention that the motivation for a lot of people to come to these boards are not just to make/save money but to get support and advice to help themselves out of debt in a time of desperation. One reason some people get into debt is because they are easily tempted by offers or chances to win etc. Not everyone has the discipline of many others to give themselves rules such as 'not to enter texts over 50p' or to 'top up a certain amount a week and only use that' - like some of you obviously highly organised sorted people (that is not meant in a nasty way but in admiration!). I understand that everyone has a responsibility for their own actions but I do think £2 is very expensive but also very tempting to spend on the remote chance of winning that dream prize. I really hope I haven't offended - I think you are all brill and thank you for your posts :A:A

I completely understand what you're saying :) I do believe there are negative & positives and obviously we are all different, have different opinions & different levels of self control etc.
I just feel there may be some people who don't mind £2 texts & would like the option, but unaware of where to find them etc.
Don't apologise for what you're saying, it's a completely valid point xx

I was wondering, if we found a £2 text comp, whether, instead of posting it on here, posting the details of where it's from & the prize & let people choose if they want to buy the mags/papers etc where it comes from?

The thing is, there are a few other comp sites floating around which I'm sure will have these texts comps on, and I have to agree with Korky & PPD, times are changing, prices of the text comps are inflating, which IMO, is a shame :(

I wish everyone looooadsa fabby luck & hope we all win LOADSA comps, especially the 25p text ones ;)
    :) xx JoJo xx :)

Just want to say, whilst this is still at the top, the Text thread often has free etxt comps in, they're as frequent as the £1.50 texts, and the prizes are still good :) You just have to nosy in it every day.

I have posted a few myself & there's a few daily ones going on that are free that loads of people have won on.

    Good Luck everyone ;)
