What you need is all dependant on what connections your laptop and TV have, if they both have HDMI sockets then the one HDMI cable should do it all.

If the laptop only has the VGA type sockets you will need the VGA type cable and also a cable for the sound, maybe a stereo 3.5mm jack plug to twin phono plugs.

Yep, what Wherryman said - depends on what connections you've got. If you're still not sure take a photo of the connection on your Laptop and on the TV and I'm sure someone can find the right cable.

Also worth noting you'll need to 'fiddle' with sound separately.

If your laptop has HDMI you 'should' be able to setup your laptop to output sound via the HDMI cable and thats all you'll need.

If its the VGA setup you're going for you'll need to pipe the sound from your laptop to some other sound output device using a separate cable (at the very least perhaps a £2 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable to connect a headphone output from your laptop to any hifi/surround sound system you might have with a 3.5mm sound input, or maybe some speakers that plug directly into your laptop)
