Q reg Backing up

Hi
I thought i had better do a back up , i think i have done it but never really paid attention to what i was doing,( i know i should have) but i just clicked through the instructions as they appeared , i thought i would have been asked to put in a disc as i thought this was what back up meant
Anyway it seemed to be doing something as i seen the green line and all the differant file names flashing by.......so now iam wondering where is this back up went ? i now see in my start menu ( backup status and config ) have i finished it and where did it go ? should i have one it to disc ?
help please
