HSBC charging policy

Hello, I was hoping for some advice regarding HSBC, I have a cheque account with them. I don't use it that often. Tonight I went to the ATM and asked for a balance. It confirmed I had £21 of my overdraft still available. It asked if I wanted a further service and I pressed the button that said CASH NO RECEIPT.

The screen didn't change so I pressed it again. But then the screen updated and changed quickly and listed all the denominations available. So the button that shows CASH NO RECEIPT becomes £100 after the screen proceeds to the next option.

Therefore as I had pressed the button twice it dispensed £100 to me.

This made me approx £80 over my agreed overdraft. I have come home and made a faster payment to the HSBC account for £100 and have restored the balance to what it was at 5.10pm tonight before the withdrawal.

As I don't use the account often at all I was wondering if anyone who is more familiar with HBSC knows if I will be charged by exceeding my agreed overdraft.

Thanks is advance. :)

    £25.

But if its your first time of arranging an overdraft (formally or informally) in the last 6 months you won't get charged.

The HSBC Fair Fess Policy also says: "we will not charge Arrangement Fees for informal overdrafts if covering funds are paid in before the end of the day". As you've done this, you shouldn't be charged.
