I am prepared to allow that other people have a different opinion to me. But this, to me, is just so off the wall as to be incredible. I guess I would say anyone apart from Milliband. And Balls of course.

Perhaps Milliband. Definitely not Balls, nor Johnson.

Who would people like to see replace Brown? Even if you're a Tory, Lib Dem or a bit neutral (like me) then there must be people you'd prefer to see there.

Of the names being thrown around I really like Alan Johnson and him being leader might make me think about voting for them. I think Andy Burnham is okay too.

The idea of Miliband (either) Harman or Balls fills me with dread and would probably prevent me voting Labour.

Anyone else likely to stand? I'm a bit neutral on Jack Straw, but dunno if it's his bag.

Obviously there's more to a party than a leader, but we've seen from this election how important it is.

Strange that you never mentioned Badger, he is my choice.

No one saying mandleson then? :p

Don't really like him, but I think you would always know where you stand with him, and he wouldn't need to spin as much as he'd just say it.

I guess my preference would be someone completely new. But otherwise, David Milliband.

Didn't realise that he was an elected representative of the UK population. ;)

I am a Labour supporter, but I don't like the way David Milliband acted a while back when cabinet ministers were asked to back Brown when there were plans to oust him. Other ministers backed Brown but Milliband did a disappearing act a bit like John Major did with Thatcher years ago. When he finally surfaced his support was totally half-hearted. If he felt Brown should've gone then he should've quit the cabinet and said so. The bloke came across like a weasel IMHO.

Alan Johnson would be a better choice, but I wouldn't be surprised if Milliband got it since image seems to be all the rage these days. Just look at Cameron for all the proof you need.

Add Mad Harriet to that list, if they pick that c*nt they deserve to be out of power for a millennium.

I'll nominate Alasdair Darling. My reason for supporting Labour recently has been sound economic management.

I also didn't like the way he damaged out relations with Russia by blaming them for a war that Georgia started by lobbing artillery into a residential area.

If I were female, I'd probably agree.

However, I think it takes a bigger man than he, to lead this country back to the happy days of old. There was a half baked takeover bid not so long back and in my opinion, Milliband came out looking rather weak.

I was almost a little disappointed, he didn't succeed.
