Who to replace Brown?

Who would people like to see replace Brown? Even if you're a Tory, Lib Dem or a bit neutral (like me) then there must be people you'd prefer to see there.
Of the names being thrown around I really like Alan Johnson and him being leader might make me think about voting for them. I think Andy Burnham is okay too.
The idea of Miliband (either) Harman or Balls fills me with dread and would probably prevent me voting Labour.
Anyone else likely to stand? I'm a bit neutral on Jack Straw, but dunno if it's his bag.
Obviously there's more to a party than a leader, but we've seen from this election how important it is.

It's going to be Millipeade.
You knew that 2 years ago!0 -
DH and I were just talking about this on the phone. We'd like it to be some one we know, which is quite likely, and we only want them to be the leader 'cos we know them...... Better the devil you know...
Otherwise.......um...does it have to be from the labour party? I don't think Harman has done a bad job recently although in the post election interviews on news etc she behaved like a woman scorned....not a great reaction for a statesman (person?).0 -
Its got to be David Milliband.
The ultimate Englishman, huge amount of gravitas and very well respected world-wide.
Knocks some of those Tory amateurs into a cocked hat!
Love Harman but she needs to be somewhere she can argue like a harridan. I would love to see her heading up health and social care & education. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

God, do you really think so? He's like a Diet Caffeine Free Blair with an extra layer of smarm and gloss.
But interesting how different people see him in a different way.0 -

And quite fanciable in an odd reptillian sort of way, David Milliband not Harriet Harman btw.
I quite like Andy Burnham too, for much the same reason0 -
Alan Johnson to steady the ship. As there's bound to be infighting once the Blair\Brown era is laid to rest.
The view from the USA was interesting where Blair was viewed as Bush's poodle, and Brown unfortunately was tainted with the same brush as he was part of the same administration.0 -
Where's that Prudence woman with her amazing moral compass? Maybe she could have a go.0
