The calculator said £135, is this weekly or monthly?

which calculator did you use? I think the HMRC site gives you an amount for the 'remainder of the year', assuming you registered that information on that date.
Entitled to will give you the figures that you have requested - weekly or monthly.0 -
if you run £13k through entitledto it shows £2.87 per week so guess the £135 is for the remainder of the tax year0

I'm on just over 13K yearly and my tax credits total £119 per week (am paying some back as well) so I should say it's weekly
btw I dont get any money for child care, 2 kids at school0 -

It is very different for someone with children and someone that lives alone with no kids (as per one of OPs previous posts)0 -
I'm sure I won't get it, apart from £2 a week.. I will claim it though as it helps with applying for college fee remission and things.
Once I get a job that is.. bl00dy redundancy.. raaarr9/70lbs to lose

It depends if you would be claiming on your own or if you live with a partner, and if you have any children. If you are claiming on your own and have no children you do need to be working a minimum of 30 hours per week to be entitled to Working Tax Credit, and a minimum of 16 hours per week if claiming with a partner.
If you have children, as well as receiving a sum for each child you are claiming for (and you must be receiving child benefit for any child you claim Tax Credits for), you will also be entitled to the family element of Child Tax Credit (approx £550 for the year). Tax Credits will also pay up to 80% of your ChildCare Costs if you meet the above criteria for Working Tax Credit.0 -

I am 26, single, and up until last week I was working 40 hrs a week. Just got made redundant.
I wanted to know if I could afford a lower wage of 13k and hope tax credits built it up a little, as my outgoings are quite high.
Don't think i'll get anything more than £2.97 a week tho..9/70lbs to lose
