Well, they're not mine but a friend of mine's. The problem is they've bought a house and there's a huge garden pond full of fish!
He lives quite central on anglesey.
My friend doesn't want them and wants to get rid of the pond asap...so what does he do with the fish??? I suggested putting an add in the local free paper but he's missed the deadline for this week. Some people have told him don't give them away sell them because they're worth money and use the money for something new for the house. But who would buy them?

Does anyone out there want some fish? I've no idea what they are appart from what the previous owners told them: carb and chinese golfish.

Your suggestions would be good;)
;)

conwy freecycle (which is close enough for you) allow offered ads for pets but not want ads, I know this cos I am a mod there

Maidenhead Aquatics will give 1/3 or 1/4 depending on the branch of the retail value of the fish in store vouchers - probably not a help. If they are Japanese Koi Carp they can range anywhere from £10 to £200+ if they are the popular colours or are very large (ie. 12" +)

A 4" standard variety koi would go for about £10, 6" around £20, 8" £40, 10-12" £60-100 depending on colour and then it goes up from there.

Goldfish on the other hand are very cheap, maxing at around £10 for a 8"+ goldfish here.

Those are just my thoughts because I have a pond with 6 16" Koi in it and am always on the look out for local second hand... unfortunately I'm in Cardiff so can't help you identify them...

There's a big different between normal carp and Koi Carp also... standard carp are almost worthless (at least in my circle of fish keeping!)
  • Another site that is worth using is www.adflyer.co.uk its free classifieds - good luck:beer:
