Advice on debts included in an IVA

Hi
Im asking this on behalf of a friend who has split up from her husband.
He has entered into an IVA, about 5 months ago, and included their joint bank account overdraft (2k approx) in the IVA. My friend is now being chased by a DCA for payment towards this debt.
Is she liable for it although it was included in her ex husbands IVA? They are not on speaking terms and he will not pass any related paperwork on to her. She is unsure whether to make a token payment to the DCA?
Very grateful for any advice on her behalf.

Unfortunately yes, she is liable for the full outstanding amount!
The nature of a joint account is that if one person is unable to pay the debt, the bank has the right to pursue the other.
In effect, your friend will end up paying the full £2k back and the debt will be removed from her ex-husband's IVA.Would you ask the wolves to look after the sheep?
