Thanks, yeah that sounds about right - and just checked British Gas and it does indeed require you to enter all of the information each month, booooooooooooooo!
Is there not a service out there where I can just get a box fitted, and not have to worry (or pester my poor neighbour) about it again?0 -
Hi,
can't understand why, if you have a detached house, your meter is not on your property, was it private build, and a temporary supply put in?0 -
Sorry it is on my property, just to access that wall you have to go into their garden, if that makes sense? There's only about 4 metres between the houses, and that entire 4 metres is part of their garden (just as on the other side it's my garden) - not sure if that makes sense
Quite annoying though0 -
Could you put a small cctv camera with infrared illumination inside your meter box and watch the meter on your TV?A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0

Phone your supplier and say that you have a dispute with your neighbour and they wont let y ou on their land to access your meter and see what they say, they might move the meter for you?Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0

Thanks chris! That is tempting but that might offend the neighbours you think? Possibly but who knows! I just think a smart metre would be a perfect solution, and really useful too.
Problem is finding somewhere that deals with them0 -

If you are friendly with your neighbours then just tell them what you are doing, just say that you want your meter moved and the easiest way to get that done is to pretend you dont get on?
I wouldnt mind if you were my neighbour... (but I'm nice like that)
