to put courgette seedlings outside in pots?
I've grown the seedlings from seed on my windowsill, they are currently about 2" high, have their first pair of leaves, and the third one coming out.
They need repotting into bigger pots, but I have limited smaller pots, and most importantly, limited windowsill space. They will end up in large pots in the garden, could I put them straight out there now? I wouldn't have anywhere inside to keep the large pots.
Thanks

The weather forecast suggests that there will be frosts overnight for the next few days. Is it possible to put them in larger pots, stand them outside during the day and bring them in at night? Even if you have to stand them on the kitchen floor, it would be better than leaving them outside at the moment.0

I have three courgettes in their final growing positions ATM, two in the polytunnel and one on a raised bed outdoors. I throw a bit of fleece over the one outside if it threatens to be cold at night.
The one that is doing best is the outdoor plant.0 -
I`ll be putting newspaper over my 2 in pots. They have been outside for 2 weeks now and are thriving. I do make sure that they are next to the house wall if frost threatens0

No, don't plant them out yet. Night temperatures are still too cold and the daytime winds too bitter for them to survive. My two early sown courgettes got very potbound so I've planted them out but they're completely protected by individual bell cloches and so far seem to have survived ok. If you're completely out of indoor space you could repot them and tie them up in individual large clear polythene bags in a sheltered place outdoors. that might be just enough to protect them until the temperature warms up.0
