Holiday Question

Have just booked a late deal for a Nile cruise for mid september. Whats the score on the medical front? malaria tablets etc (never been anywhere similar before) Dont want to leave all this to the last minute in case get sick _pale_ !!!!

    You need to make an appointment to see whoever deals with this at your GP's surgery. (In mine it's the nurse). They will check that any necessary inoculations are up to date and prescribe whatever anti-malerial medication is recommended. Do this immediately as some take time to become effective.

    Apart from this, make sure you take an anti-mosquito spray (deet is the most effective) - prevention is always better than cure!
