Returning to work and childcare vouchers.

Hi, due to return to work mid august, I have a 5 year old in full time education and a 5 month old. Possibly going to take a term time contract due to childcare during the hols.

Looking at returning on my 30 hour contract and child care is needed for 15 of these hours. Using registered childminder and looking at vouchers.

Been doing some sums this morning and it appears that there is a £12 difference between me going back 16 hours ( no childcare needed) and 30 hours childcare needed, obviously £12 a week is still extra money but don't even know if my petrol travelling to work an extra 3 days wouldn't cancel that out anyway.

Am I missing something or is it really that straight forward.

Any advice please?
