Comet have had my friends Acer laptop away for repair for the last four weeks with no sign of it being returned any time soon.
I would appreciate any advice as to what action to take and any comments about what is a reasonable amount of time for them to effect a repair.

It was disappointing to learn of the problems that your friend is experiencing with the repair to their Acer laptop.
The time your friends laptop has been away for repair seems unreasonable and longer than what we would normally expect a repair to be completed. Therefore, if you could please ask your friend to send me an e-mail via the link below which includes their purchase details, serial number of their laptop and any case identification numbers that they may have. I will endeavour to have this matter resolved as quickly as possible
