I am beginning to see just who you should and should not borrow money from. In hindsight I think MBNA would be my last resort credit card!
I stupidly paid some money off my arrears last month and 2 days later they rang to ask for another payment! From now on they can ring all they like but they will get no more information or money from me, apart from my CCCS payments!Julie

Just seen apples101 message.
I received an agreement from MBNA for my repayment through Payplan last Wednesday. On Friday thay had sold my debt on to another credit agency, who have phoned me every day since asking for more money.0 -
Yes Mike please tell us more. I despair whenever I speak to anyone, as they have no authority to agree anything, have no idea what they are doing, which makes conversations pointless. I work in training and development and one thing is clear, these people and many people working in call centres like this appear very poorly trained and prepared!Julie

Having failed to get hold of me by telephone, MBNA wrote me a letter, telling me to bring my account up to date by 21st August, Had already told them I could not afford to pay anything until end of month.
Now they have started sending me emails, asking me to contact them to discuss an 'important matter'.
Am I completely brain dead or is someone missing the point?I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

I have a debt with MBNA and have been getting awful phone calls from GBI I think they're called, they will not leave you alone and I've told them not to ring me at work several times but they still did till I sent a letter threatening them back. I got a call from MBNA today and I told em I;d had enough and my £1 token payment was all I could offer so she said there would be no more calls from GBI and put me on the 'hardship queue' - ? (anyone know what this is please) and would sell the debt on in 4 months.
Actually, I was very surprised as she was quite human. you are as you are, if you aren't as you ought to be.0 -
