JET2 Refunds

Is anyone else still waiting for a refund from Jet2 as a result of the Volcanic ash?

I applied (via phone) for 2 cancelled flights on 26thApril and still heard nothing.

I also applied for the re-booked return flight via refunds@jet2.com on the same day..still nothing.

anyone else heard anything?

cheers
Before you criticise someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.
That way, when you criticise them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I spoke to them on Friday and they are now quoting 14 working days to process the refund and then would you believe it another 10 working days until the refund is applied to your credit card.

Not sure if you can then claim interest on the amount

They've shut-down all means of customers making contact. No email addresses aren't supported, neither are tel numbers (wait for eternity), etc. The only way to access them is to write in - but then what's the point when you have no idea if they ever react.
I've even been to their offices and got turned away at the security gate. We will have died before we ever see a refund from this outfit. Never again will I travel with Jet2.

We are still waiting for refund from the day it started 15th april,we where told at airport the refund will be in our account 2-4 days time,no such joy, spent a fortune on the phone, had to pay for other flights to get to egypt as they said you cant have a refund for the return flight as that has not been cancelled,so a 21 night holiday turned into 10 nights they wonteven say how much they will refund, pity you cant get interest charges off them, will never use them again,so it better not be vouchers !!!!! they can stick em where the sun dont shine:mad:

    Hi
Yes I am still awaiting refund from Jet2 re Volcanic Ash. Came back on coach from Portugal on 20th April, had claim acknowledged and finally had an email dated 24th May:

According to our records, we have now completed our work on refunding the fare from your eligible cancelled flight in April and the money has left our account. It may however, take up to 7 working days for your credit/debit card account to be credited, due to the constraints of the UK clearing bank system and the procedures followed by your credit/debit card provider.

Since then - nothing. Paid £1.50 phone call only to be told the number I needed (50p pm), called that and was cut off after over a minute of irrelevant drivel.

Paid by Visa so about to contact my bank. If anyone has any better ideas, I'd be pleased to hear. Should I get anywhere with my bank, I'll post a response.

Further to earlier post, I have contacted my on line bank who have asked me to supply details and they will pursue it with Jet2 and refund money. Fingers crossed. ps wished them best of luck contacting them!!!
