If Tradefair's live platform is anything like their demo platform then I don't plan on using them anytime soon.

Sounds like a really stupid decision on their part. Hope you get it sorted stebiz.

Yes, also hope this gets sorted satisfactorily Stebiz/Moss10. Bit worrying though, would also be interested in the outcome.

DRC, Is there any particular reason why you were not happy with the Tradefair demo? Have I have missed something obvious here when trying it out relative to IG (no free demo) and CityIndex (not tried)?

Would be useful to know, as Tradefair have a current sign up offer with additional 12mths free unlimited advn level 1 (UK).

Bit like your bookie quoting you 100-1 on an outsider in the Grand National, and then when it wins, saying; "I'm sorry we gave the wrong odds, that horse should have been 5-4."

This happened to me this week. The bookmaker advertised odds of 3-1 and accepted my bet. Some time after they cancelled saying they got the odds wrong with another competitor. It really favours the house and is a kick in the balls especially when you take opposing positions to cover the bet. Its like buying a bed for a great price, paying for it and getting ti shipped home only for the retailer to knock on the door to take it back.

I mean they can turn round and cancel a bet but I cant.

    I digress.

Well just an update. Their compliance officer has clearly said by email that they have 8 weeks to deal with this complaint. I have had no written acknowledgement, just an email saying that they are looking into it.

I have been in touch with my card company, as I have requested they freeze all funds to this company for the week, which they agreed to. In the meantime Tradefair will have no access to the money.

I can't believe the company sometimes. How on earth does it take 8 weeks to deal with such a simple mistake??

I found the Tradefair demo platform really bad (and still do). It locked me out so many time with technical errors which they are constantly fixing and delays when putting on bets. It might be that they just don't worry so much about the demo platform but from day 1 I encountered problems.

This side never a hitch with Tradefair demo (PC, Firefox, Vista) so might as well continue playing with it. But in the light of Stebiz and Moss10 posts, going live with them a different matter.

Just a bit of an update. Because I used my Barclaycard, rather than any other card, it was not classed as a cash transaction and they have confirmed that the funds are disputed, and no interest is being charged!

In the meantime I have heard diddly squat off Tradefair!!

That's at least a start.....fingers crossed regarding a quick outcome from Tradefair, surely they are obliged to at least void this.....
