Hope your daughter enjoys it. I am planning the Wizard of Oz for my daghter's introduction to the London musical next year when she is six.

I often buy cheap tickets and if you google "cheap theatre tickets" a number of sites come up. Also if you belong to top cashback there are some links to sites (theatre tickets direct) that offer discounted tickets (but these aren't usually the cheapest). There is also a ticket comparison site you can link to from top cashback.

Be careful with some of these sites. If you buy from lastminute, for instance, you get the "best available seats" and you don't know what these are until you get the tickets. For Chicago we had a safety rail obstructing our view which was annoying. From that time I've tended to go for sites which tell you what seats you have and then check opinions of the seats on theatremonkey before buying them.

Last tickets I bought (Oliver) were from London theatre box office top seats (stalls) from £63.50 to £39. Saying that the people sitting next to me had bought their tickets from See tickets and got them at £36.75

Hope you all enjoy the show,

    Jackie

I am seeing the Lion King in May and could not find cheap tickets anywhere, apparantly its Disney and so they are full price. I did get some helpful advice on here and eventually bit the bullet and used Theatremonkey to choose some good seats - hopefully - in my price range. I did get an offer of no booking fee via LondonThearedirect.

Try lastminute.com, mycitydeal.co.uk... there all pretty good for going out deals

Have fun with the Lion King. I saw it in February and it was brilliant!

Can't help you with cheap tickets, I bought mine through the Lyceum website, I didn't think they were too badly priced tbh.

  • Hey Guys,

Just been doing loads of research to get tickets for this show and of course, found Money Saving expert in the search results! haha. Anyway, got my tickets for the family at the cheapest price I reckon at Uktickets.co.uk. Mind you, that was only for Lion King London, not sure about the other shows!
I'm an addict to as many freebies as possible!
  • I got mine at the box office - I know I was ripped off! Are there usually any Lion King deals, does anyone know? And do students get money off?
