this might be a bit controversial here
but recently the influx of customers calling any
0800 no they have found and demanding to be tranfered to
other departments.
us poor call centre workers have targets to meet and ppl ringing incorrect no's messes this up!!
also the nice polite customers are fine - no problems with them
its the ones who come through shouting and making demands without a manner in sight that annoy me!!

The reason they have found the 0800 is because of the call centre bosses using expensive numbers for the customers to use.
If you dont like being a poor call centre worker, leave and let someone else do it.3.78 kWp PV SolarEdge with iBoost South facing.

yeah, call centre jobs are sh*tThe word is BOUGHT, not BROUGHT.
It's LOSE, NOT LOOSE.
You ask for ADVICE not ADVISE.0 -
but unfortunatly its a steady job and pays more than factory work, store work, bar work or any other readily avaiable work!!
if call centres changed all no's to 0870 you would need to phone them!

I think that you get rude people in all jobs where you deal with members of the public.0
-
or they could just change all numbers to 0800 instead and not make a fast buck

I always feel extremely sorry for call centre workers, who'd want a job that meant a constant stream of abuse from pig ignorant customers if they could find something better. Look on the bright side, at least if you're taking a calls you can't get beaten up like health workers.0

thats very true dora
i dont agree with the 0870 no's at all
i just believe that manners are one of the few things
in life which are truly free:rolleyes:

This is probably due to the company you are representing.
If people get poor service and are expected to call an expensive number and spend a lot of time getting nowhere and don't get the call back or letters they are promised then they will be upset.
I suspect you are getting the result of that. As you say you have a sudden increase in the number of these calls it sounds like your company has a new problem - maybe the normal expnsive call lines aren't being manned.
Have you reported it - maybe it's a problem that needs to be addressed and whoever is managing that department doesn't realise it.0 -

I try to give cc workers a wide-berth. not the best job on the planet (someone recently called these centres 21st century sweat-shops, here and in delhi). You are entitled to be treated with respect, along with everyone.
telling you to work elsewhere and let someone else have a go isn't really helpful.miladdo0 -
i see all the points but if you would like verging on the rediculous - i work in call centre and all our cust no's are 0800 so anyway someone called us and demanded to be us to help them because they wouldn't phone BGas because we have free phone numbers and BGas don't. Now that is taking the mickey really don't you think.0
