I took my bags to Tesco (five ways, birmingham) and I was told that they only gave a max of 3 points or 3 bags... my sa gave me 7 one per bag I took and used. What's the point of argueing about this. don't understand how their policies are so different in different shops.

    @ UltraCheap,

Thats total BS about the cotton bags!! IT says on their tv advert "it doesn't matter what else you use" then shows Alan Titchmarsh using a wheelbarrow and someone else using a suitcase!

They don't know their !!!!!! from their elbow these people!!

Sorry! Just repeating what I was told by the customer service folks. I only have Tesco Metro's near me, so I expect it to be a bit of a problem, and I wanted to make sure that I played by the rules as much as possible. :A

I went to Tescos last night and re-used 4 plastic bags and 2 cotton/cloth bags. I was given a total of 10 green points, guy just said he would round it up!

I went to Tesco last night, asked the SA once I paid had she added on a point for using an old Tesco 'bag for life', she did not know what I was talking about. She had to call over the supervisor who asked her did she not know about the scheme, said she no and the supervisor said to go to CS. Guy at CS after swiping my clubcard looked at the receipt and asked me "should it be only 1 point per bag", told him I don't know. I think Tesco should have spent some of the current advertising money on staff training.

We got 2 points depsite the fact that if we'd out our shopping in a carrier bag it would have been half full. Since we both had rucksacks with us we carried half each so got 2 points. Cashier feeling generous.
