Is this rabbit & guinea pig food too old to use?

I just found it in the shed. I think it could be four years old . It's still in its sealed packs ie four sealed packs in a sealed cellophane wrapping. We've got two lots of guinea pig food and two lots of rabbit food i.e 8 bags of Pasco's Guinea Pig Goodness & 8 bags of Pasco's Bunny Balance

First thought was take it to the dump as it's too old, but is it ? Don't want to give it away if it's going to make any animals ill.

Just wondered if anyone knew how long this stuff lasts for ?

Check the use by date on the packs. Only feed it to your animals if you'd be happy to eat it yourself.

Can't find any use by/sell by dates (had already looked) hence asking here.

My instinct is they are too old - but I've never kept rabbits or guinea pigs so don't have a clue.

I would imagine its too old. Even if you are lucky and it hasn't gone mouldy/dusty it probably would of lost all its nutrients by now.

I would say it's definitely too old. Use-by dates on food I purchased last weekend are for less than a year and I would probably buy smaller quantities if I wouldn't get through it in that time, as rabbit and guinea pig stomachs can be very easily upset and it can kill them.
