Hi,
theses devices are £10 in superdrug. Does anybody know a cheaper option please?
Thanks,
Toddy

Asda and Tesco do them, but check they work before you go...We had a family holiday last year and one or two of them had broken bits meaning the tablets couldn't go in...0

About as much use as my ex wife.
I used them in Borneo and they didn't work, although i must admit the Mozzies are like piranhas out there. Air con works to some extent, but nothing beats a good old Mozzie net or a pasting of DEET prior to bed.The Summer Holiday of a Lifetime0 -
Does anybody else think that they do not work?0

The liquid plug ins are £6.99 at dixons at the airport and last about 45 days, not too sure if they work or not as i had deet on, mosquito milk, taking anti histamines and citronella oil oh and brewers yeast tablets.0

Well all i can say is that with us they have kept the bites down to a minimum...
I remember one time in Italy about 23 years ago and my sister was bitten very badly and the owner got us one of these and it saved her from any further bites so we have used them ever since...
Somebody did recommend taking my anti-histamines as they don't like the taste of your blood after but that didn't work for me....
Last year my sister lent me her kids spray for the mossies, it stank of high heaven...It's the one smell I really can't stand and hate putting up with...
I also think it really depends on where you are going some mossies are more determined than others....and don't even get me started on the horseflies i think it is....:rotfl:0 -
I bought one of these in semi chem for our holiday in april for £6.99 and it worked great,However I noticed that B and M had some on Saturday for £1.99! Worth trying if you have a B and M near you!0

Depends were you are going and if its for the prevention of bites or prevention of Malaria etc.
If its for night time use and/or for children or babies then I would use a net over the bed.
Also air con keeps them at bay a bit but at night close windows or open windows that have intact insect screens then close the room door after spaying the room with mossie spray and hour before going to bed to kill any in the room.
I would still use a net as I wouldnt be wanting to be breathing in a chemical every night.
If you wish to use during the day they might not be very effective with all the doors and windows open, I would stick to a DEET spray on exposed skin.0 -
I've taken one on holiday to various places in Europe and wouldn't be without it now! I got mine in boots. Worth every penny. I get massive reactions to bites and I've never been bitten with one of these on the go!0
