what is the best way to test my connection speed ?
i have bt and want vision but they say my speed is not fast enough ( even though my neighbour has it ! )
any advice appreciated

If your neighbour has it, it could be theyre paying for no extra speed (or very little)
I very much doubt BT would say its not fast enough as clearly theyd want you to upgrade (If you could)
My suggestion would be speedtest yours and your neighbours ~

If theres little difference then your wasting your time (That said, if your figures are way lower then it could be your not set up correctly):idea:0 -
mine is showing at 8.75 mbs
neighbours is 6.4 mbs
so are bt cow pooing me ?

Sounds to me like your neighbours is incorrectly setup (probably not plugged into the master socket)
What speeds should you and your neighbour be getting?:idea:0 -
Either way, sounds to me that (assuming your neighbours 'BT Vision' works fine) then you shouldnt have any problems:idea:0

Not to !!!! on any parades, but please bare in mind that WIFI connections are normally slower than your internet connection speed.......... Thats 'bear' in mind, and my wireless is as fast as my ethernet give or take:idea:0
