They are not broker only products - they were bought out today

the refinance options are available today for existing customers and remortgage customers - in branch. so don't know why you were told that

this shows the 4.79% on the site - yes they are trackers

the 4.49% is only available for homebuyers - so FTB's and home movers though

These are tracker rates. I think we all got a bit excited cos the original post mentioned fixed rates - and these unfortunately, havent changed and remain very high compared to other lenders.

Thanks very much for clarifying what products these rates refer to.
  • Yes I thought that they were fixed rate too - shame, looks like I will be leaving then!! I spoke to a broker and they told me the best deal was 4.99% fixed for 2 years with Abbey as opposed to 5.65 no fee with halifax. Let me know if you find anything better. Trouble is with an arrangement fee of £699 and the releasing deeds etc you are talking £1000. Makes you wonder if it is worth the hassle.

it is always swings and round abouts with what ever lender - with regard to fee options, no fee options, tie's, no ties - and early discharge fees too
