hedgehog poo

Hi all
We appear to have poo which we don't recognise as cat/dog/mouse.
If you'll pardon a description, an inch or so long, quite thin, sort of pointed at both ends and black. Woke up to 3 lots around the house. Could it be hedgehog? Do hedgehogs eat pests?

Sounds like hedgehog to me, I would encourage them to stay as they eat slugs and snails

thank you for your quick response - happier now. Just don't want poo around the place! Nevertheless, if they are a friend it's a small price to pay.:D

hedge hogs are good... also fun to have and watch.. they are great for the garden..

just glad you did not take a pic of the poo :P lol...

Hedgehog poo looks like little black slugs.

Make sure you don't use slug pellets, as they could poison the 'hogs too and cause a slow painful death.
