Thames Valley Police - great job

We recently had an attempted burglary, quite a bit of damage to a rear window and side door, though thankfully they withstood the thieves best efforts to prise them open.
Called the non emergency Police number, promised someone would come out in about 1 1/2 hours and given info about Victim Support. Policeman duly came in timeframe, took statement, looked at damage, told me again about Victim Support. Said Scenes of Crime would be in touch.
They called next day and arranged to come following PM. Duly turned up to take a look. 2 days later 2 more Police on my doorstep from Crime Prevention. Marked up my property, checked all security and gave a bit of advice for added protection.
All in all, brilliant service given that it must be a low priority as the burglars didn't gain entry. GREAT JOB, we felt properly looked after. :T

Ordered a Yale 6400 wireless alarm system (has decent reviews). Another house several doors away also had an 'attempt' though don't know if it was the same day. Noticed that both our homes are amongst the few who don't have alarms!0

I had a break in at my parents a few years ago where I walked in on them (naked!!) while they were hiding in my house to get a drink totally unaware that they were there. Anyway I'll spare you anymore of the details and just say that Greater Manchester Police were amazing, they arrived almost instantly and although the theives had gone they fingerprinted the doors ect and found them within a week. Was very very happy!0

Glad to hear everything was ok ...
I had to call the police last week about some suspicious behaviour near my house. Others must have noticed as the police were already outside by this point. I didn't want to go outside as it was very late, so called the local control room. I explained the situation and gave my address, only for the operator to tell me that they had had no reports from that area! I told her that there was already a police car outside, and she said 'But there can't be'! In the end I just left the information with her ... I'll never know whether it reached the right person!Gone ... or have I?0 -

As the police were already in attendance, why did you call them ??"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0
