Bank transfer

Quick question....
I've had a seller asking for my bank details as he says he doesn't have the funds in paypal and it will take 7 days to transfer them to Paypal, so this would be quicker.
Am I right in thinking this is fine? I only need give, name, sort code and account number so that's the same as what's on a cheque anyway - or am I missing something?
