Help being cut off

I have been having murder with my electricity supplier.↲ My girlfriend lost her job in december and unfortunately we have got into appears.↲she has now found a new job but the supplier have told me they want to fit a pre payment meter. However they are now saying that they want to cut me off!

That is a scary prospect. Would I find it difficult to find a new supplier bearing in mind that i have aaked to begin repayments and now in a position to make normal payments again.

I have offered several times to begin repayments of £120.00 per month.

Also, if they do cut me off would i be able to roll outstanding arrears into IVA?

This is really putting a lot of stress on me as feel they just dont want to help!

You can't change supplier until you pay back the debt (or at least most of it)

They probably won't cut you off. If they do that, they risk getting no money. They will probably fit a PPM - why are they saying they won't?

    Edit:
As stated in this thread, if the current meter is located in a cupboard to which you do not have access, a PPM will be installed in a location where you do have access.

Unless you, or someone else, allows the supplier access, they will need to go to court to get an entry warrant.

They will fit a PPM if you have failed to keep up repayment plans in the past, this is dont not only to recover the debt, but to secure ongoing bills.
You have no choice im afraid, and it will be fitted where the cut out/existing meter is, not as said above about moving it etc, they will just replace the credit meter in its current location.
