Carers Allowance and what else...?

My OH is getting DLA middle and lower. I've just give up work in order to care for them and I was told I could claim Carers, which I have done. I keep getting told that there are other things I cna claim for, but there are toooooooo many benefits out there and i'm getting confuddled!

I'm assuming that you and yur OH live together. Does your OH work? Do you have any children? What household income do you have?

Is the DLA middle for care or mobility?

    Hi,

Once you've answered Kingfisherblue's post then we can direct you a bit more. But to add as to what you can check up on now is if you qualify for housing benefit (if you rent) and council tax benefit. AS OH id on DLA you show get a discount on these.

You can claim income support as a carer if your OH is not receiving any work related benefits.

You coudl always go to your local CAB and they will do a benefit check for you.
