More than insurance >:(

I had a look for a pet insurance quote on Thursday, wasn't a bad quote to be fair so I was going to get it at the end of the month. Since Thursday I have had six (unanswered due to the fact that I was at work) calls from MoreThan from two different numbers including one voicemail. Don't think I'll be going with them anymore, can't stand companies that pester you just for showing a slight interest.

They're the biggest bunch of muppets I've had to deal with (for car insurance). Left them for a better deal and tried to get them to give me confirmation of no claims. Now I joined with 5 years and had 3 complete years with them (with no claims) so I'd expect 8 years in total. So the conversation went as follows:

Me: Hi, I need confirmation of my no claims posting out for my new insurance.
CSM*: Yes sir, you have 7 years in total I am seeing.
Me: I think you'll find that should be eight years
CSM: No I am seeing 7
Me: How many years did I have when I joined?
    CSM: 5 years sir
Me: and how many years have I been with you in total?
    CSM: 3 years
    Me: so what's 5+3?
    CSM: 8
Me: So how many years no claims should I have?
    CSM: 7 years
Me: Can I speak to your manager please

    *CSM = call centre monkey

So manager agrees to 8 years and sends out a note for 7.... Further calls and they again agree to 8, yet another letter for 7. New insurance co. are about to cancel contract as they've not had confirmation so they phone them up and get told 7 - tell me not to worry as More Than are well known as incompetent.

Whenever I get a quote for any kind of insurance I always provide a made-up phone number and give my real number only if I proceed.

Insurance companies in particular are a real pain once they have your details.

I think I will be doing that from now on Paulpud! Another 4 phone calls in the last two days. When will they realise that I'm not going to answer during working hours?
