my wife user her own side of the computer on (SWITCH user) on the pc she has lost background,internet wont log on what do we do. do i do a sysem restore or will that affect me two

does your account still work-is it just your wifes account that is not working?maybe try saving her important files on disc/usb then making her a new account, if that works, transfer files to new account and delete hers

Go into SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING (Keep presing F8 at bootup)

Log into her account. Assuming the net now works ~

Download MALWAREBYTES (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/
Open malwarebytes and goto UPDATE and click 'check for updates'. After its updated goto SCANNER and click PERFORM FULL SCAN then click SCAN
Remove everything thats found (needs to be ticked)
Post the COMPLETE log here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds


reboot

Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD THIS VERSION')

Click MAIN MENU then DO A SYSTEM SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE(Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log)


If it doesnt then run a full scan on YOUR login then try hers again

No. A system restore will RESTORE the whole PC. It does what it says on the tin.
