Help with slow laptop please!

Options
So recently my 5-month old laptop has been rather slow, I was wondering if anyone can shed some light? It's a Dell Inspiron.

I tried to do a HijackThis report but this came up:

and then when I tried to open a log it said this:

Also, my msn has been giving me this error for the past few days:

Could someone please shed some light? Much appreciated!

try ccleaner (google 'ccleaner download' its free) to free up some of the junk cluttering your computer. Also, you may need to upgrade the RAM (memory) if your are doing complicated tasks which is makiing the computers struggle.as i cant see your hijack this report its impossible to tell if its infected, maybe just run your anti virus scan and see if anything pops up?

You need to right click on Hijack this and run as administrator

  • I'll download ccleaner now, and I've run an AVG scan that's come up with four trojans in temp files that have been sorted. I appreciate your help!

I would download Malwarebytes free version, open the program and go to the updates tab, download the latest version. Then After its updated goto Scanner and click PERFORM FULL SCAN then click SCAN
Post the COMPLETE log here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds

    reboot

Then rerun HijackThis (remember to right click on HJT an run as administrator)

    Then post the log here

  • I'm on Windows 7 so when I right-click it doesn't give me the option to run as admin.

looking at that log I would now run

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix

    and post that log file

you may need to rename combofix.exe to something else , ie...vanya.exe , to get it to run

Windows 7 does not require recovery console , just run it (if its 32 bit Win 7)
