Alliance Leicester £50 Bonus - not!

Hi,
A recent email from Martin suggested that a £50 bonus was available for reccommending a friend, spouse, etc., if you joined the Premier Direct current account. I made an online application on Monday (successful by the way) and as promised the start of the paperwork has arrived this morning, with more to come over the course of the next 30 days, all very efficient I might add. Unfortunately the bonus payment/voucher is only for £25.00!!!! I have already printed the £50 voucher from their web site (it does say £50 on the site) ready to recc my other half. Should I take a chance and use the £50 voucher? Regards - sally

I would use it. The change (back to £50) is quite recent and that might explain why you received a £25 voucher.

I was under the impression that even the £25 vouchers were attracting the £50 payment, but I'd use an actual £50 voucher from the website as you intend to do.

Are you being referred yourself? - wait and see what happens with that.

From what I've seen on other posts, if you submit a £25 voucher, you get £25 even though there are £50 vouchers available. They give you what you give them :) So get printing! The vouchers are available from the A&L website under Refer a Friend.

    Hi,
Thanks to all who have posted their views. I have now rang AL and spoken to a very nice lady who says, it is a 'mistake'! She was quite happy to post me a £50 voucher out but I said I could print one off the computer. She has logged the conversation and says there is absolutely no doubt about being paid the £50 as it is displayed in black and white on the web site for all to see! So fingers crossed.
