i get a bit obsessed with the slug and snail thing....so much so that DH got me the wonderful 50 ways to kill a slug book for my birthday....i use the ring of 2ps and Bran although as with the pellets the Bran is attractive to the slugs so be careful where you put it. I find it cheaper than the pellets and if you are sharp stick and scissors inclined you know exactly where to find them swarming all over a little pile of Bran....
