Unlike some, I'm not here to "pick people up" on what they post, more to give advice to those seeking it
If you weren't here my post count would be significantly lower so I do have to be grateful for you being here since without you, I would probably not be as on the ball as I am since you are the ideal person that most of us will have to deal with when your perspective on bank charges is proven to be what it is.....without foundation.
But glad to see we are agreed that the legal arguement has never been successfully used in court yet.
We have agreed that the banks lost on UTCCR 1999 regulation 5(1), that is correct. Since I am not lazy in pointing the OP to a templated guide(won't get you too far) then I guess I had better "pick people up" or perhaps that might be correct just you and a few others and allow the OP to remain positive than my job is done
(and I've already pointed the OP in the direction of the MSE article which whilst explaining how to make such a claim also suggests anyone attempting it should consider also the financial risks involved in so doing)
Yet again your view is clear, refer to the parts of the MSE guide that suit your needs. The bank charges campaign is not over, the legal recourse is not over and in fact, any idiot who dares to give that old spiel of who has won in court....Stephen Hone in 2005(he is the founder of Penalty Charges). Perhaps Govan Law Centre will shut you up after June 11th(but of course, that is in Scotland so that will mean it isn't good enough, is it?).0
