Eon has incomplete postcode database!

Tried to sign up to Eon online but only 2 out of the 6 properties show up under my postcode.:(

I can sign up by phone but will get no cashback.
Anyone else with this problem?

You don't say which fuel, but EON like the other suppliers will use the national database to llok up you supply point. If it is not listed it is not their fault. You could contact your current supplier or ring the enquiry service to ask for meter point number.

It's the drop-down list under the postcode; you chose which house no
and street: like 6 Baker Street, but there is only 2 and 4!

The drop down list could be based on 2 sources, Post Office PAF file or Industry Meter Point Address Register. Phone them up and tell them, once they have corrected then you can register.

Are you in a relatively newly built property?

For a couple of months I was the only one on my estate with our postcode because nobody else had registered theirs.

Hi emty,

Our website extracts its information from the relevant national databases for electricity and gas. If an address does not appear on the drop down list then I expect the relevant database isn’t showing the address either.

This could be as simple as the post code on the national database being one character different to the post code you use.

I can check your details against the national database if you’d like me to, just to check if this is what’s causing the problem. There is always the possibility that the error could be the result of something else.
