Barclays instant cheque drawing

Hi,
I was made aware 2 weeks ago that Barclays have an Instant Access feature for drawing cheques paid in at their branches immediately or before they clear providing you knew it'd not bounce.
I put a cheque in a week ago and had a direct debt come out which required some of the amount of the paid in cheque, no problem went overdrawn a day then back under when cleared but as it was credited it didn't mind..
Then i had a cheque from a family friend this week i paid into a Barclays branch 11am Yesterday (Friday) and went outside to draw but it wasn't even on the mini statement. By the evening it showed on the account and online banking as credited.
Still can't draw on it today when i tried a Lloyds atm but it shows as uncleared balance (cheque is £190 ) so its in there and i should be able to draw it like last time.
Barclays customer service had no idea , could it be that even uncleared its still not *in* the account as such and just showing online early? Would a Barclays cash machine know its ok to be drawn immediately where as others don't know different than to refuse paying if its uncleared?.
Hopefully its just that the cheque hasn't been credited fully but online and on balance it has.
Any ideas? I had planned a lot based around me drawing it instantly and just wondering why i can't.
Thanks
James
