Why does she need a loan?
No reputable lender will lend to her on benefits.0 -
Getting a loan is not a wise move. Even if she was highly paid. Avoid loans at all costsHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

thats not strictly true,i`m on income support due to illness have been for 11 years, got my most recent loan with a&l last month, the previous loan 12 months ago and 2 new cc`s in the last year.0 -
surely someone on benefits wouldn't be in a position to service a loan?0

Could she not get a social loan, otherwise known as a budgeting loan. My brother is on income support and he got one recently when he moved.
They take the money back directly from your benefit and I believe it's interest free.

On benefits or retired?
I got a catalogue, loan and credit card when I was on income support when I was 18 - 20. I can't remember what I put, there isn't usually a box for "on benefits" though so it would have either been retired or unemployed. Think happy & you'll be happy

OP - try your local credit union. Ideally, your sister would not need a loan so encourage her to ensure she borrows as little as possible and to ensure she really does need the money now.Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0
