Problems with Logitech webcam and Windows 7

I have a Logitech webcam which I had used for years on Windows ME, XP and now I have gone on to Windows 7 it doesn't work.
Anyone got ideas as to how I can get the camera to work instead of having to buy a new one, just so it works on Windows 7?

I've had a quick look at the Logitech site, which anyone can do,, in effect it says this camera will not work with Vista, so by implication, it will not work with Win 7.
